Depression has actually become a common mental illness among modern people. Many people around us have suffered from it and are still troubled today. Depression has a wide range of causes, including family factors, social environment, school or work pressure, cyberbullying, etc. All of which may lead to depression. Suffer from depression, some of the troubled people are unaware, while others know that they are sick but cannot get out of the predicament.

UNLOCK is a multimedia interactive art installation. The exterior is a nine compartment black and white color locker. The locker are all locked with transparent locks, waiting for participants to unlock them one by one. There are different objects waiting in each grid. Participant's exploration. It allows different participants to experience the inner world of three people who have suffered from depression through the experience of this art installation, so as to understand more personally what it feels like.

The objects in UNLOCK are all designed around the depression experience of the protagonist among the interviewees, including plaster statues, metal statues, interactive installations, etc., but in different styles, because everyone's depression causes, feelings, and depression The duration is also different. Among our three interviewees, some relied on medical treatment and family members to recover, some relied on family members and their own willpower to recover, and some were still suffering from depression from time to time.

We are in different situations. We hope that we can integrate our feelings into the work so that more people can understand depression from different angles, so that even if we are also troubled by depression or someone around us is troubled by depression, we can be better. Face it easily. After all, life is already very difficult, I hope it can simplify the difficulty of life, and everyone can be harsh and be confident to face the depresssion.
