"The Locked Room" is an installation of a large number of red lines extending around the exhibition space, and uses objects that are visible in people's daily life as materials, clothes, beds, shoes and travel bags. Chiharu Shiota uses its original technology to configure various materials in the artwork, and the finished exhibits permeate our hearts silently, conveying a steady stream of freshness and power.

The interweaving of messy and intertwined lines is a commonly used art expression method by Chiharu Shiota.

These lines are like spiders spinning like a spider, covering the objects and the overall space. The dense and dense will create a deep and huge visual impression, which makes people both shocked and disturbed. These red lines are like our thoughts and blood vessels, so they are very attractive to our eyes. So, I plan to add line elements to my artwork, the current idea is to add a colored line to the end of the key. It is mainly used to distinguish the difference between the keys. It also symbolizes that the key is the people who give help to affected by depression get out of depression, these people are the ones who unlock our inner world and bring color in.

Chiharu Shiota have use red, white, and black color yarns. She think “the black thread represents death, dreams, or the night sky; the red thread symbolizes blood, the human body, and also metaphors the connection between people. White purity , Is related to the beginning or end of life."

Also, Chiharu Shiota has a humble mood. When she sees people watching her work, and can temporarily forget the daily busyness, she will feels that she is saved by the visitor. I think only with such a mood can we make such delicate and moving works.
